HIGH SCHOOL WATER POLO

2023 STRUCTURE:

 

Water Polo 4s (also known as Beach Water Polo) will be the structure for the 2023 SCHOOL LEAGUE season. Each team shall consist of four players, one of whom shall be the goalkeeper. Rosters will not exceed 10 players.

Pivoting to Water Polo 4’s will be a fun and safe way to continue offering water polo this year and in the future. With this change, we will also introduce gender specific play. Schools are encouraged to have both a male and a female team and may have multiple teams entered if the numbers allow.

LEAGUE OVERVIEW:

​

  • School league practices will commence week of September 18.

  • School league games will commence October 1.

  • School rosters will contain no more than 10 players per team. Schools can submit multiple teams.

  • Competition will be gender specific.

  • League fees will be confirmed after school teams are fully registered. Fees set at: HSL - $750 per team, 

  • All athletes, coaches, and team managers must purchase a MWPA/WPC membership.

    • Athletes: Community membership - $35

    • Coaches and Team Managers: Volunteer membership - $o (complimentary)

How to Register

The MWPHSL program will be using the RAMP database system to manage registrations, teams and schedules.

​

All athletes, coaches and team managers must register here:

Team Managers must submit their team rosters one week in advance of October 1. This can be completed by using the provided roster form (noted below).

 

When these rosters are received, the MWPA office will update the RAMP database system. Final rosters will be monitored through the RAMP database system. Updates will be sent directly to Coaches and Team Managers.

Tentative team fees are: $750 per team.
