Water Polo for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community

The MWPA is committed to providing a safe and affirming environment for our 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Queer folks who register may also invite friends who are allies to register. We need to ensure an environment where folks are free to be themselves without fear of judgment.

pride month is just around the corner!

Join us at the Winnipeg Pride Parade on June 7!

Sport Manitoba has partnered with Out There Winnipeg (OTW) to join over 100 organizations who will be dancing through the streets of Winnipeg in the PRIDE parade. The MWPA will be joining this group to celebrate all of you and promote our 2SLGBTQ+ program.

Out There Winnipeg also promotes our queer league on their website. OTW strives to enrich the lives of the Winnipeg 2SLGBTQ+ community by providing inclusive, accessible, safer sporting and recreational activities suitable for all skill levels.

To support our commitment to participation by members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, if finances are preventing you from joining, please send an e-mail in confidence to office@manitobawaterpolo.com

The Manitoba Water Polo Association acknowledges that the work we do takes place on the traditional lands and waterways of the Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline, and Nehethowuk peoples, as well as the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.

As a community, we remain committed to fostering positive and mutually beneficial relationships with Indigenous communities. We also recognize that the privileges and benefits we enjoy as citizens of Canada are rooted in long standing treaties and historical relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples. We are all treaty people and accept our responsibility to honour all relations.
