Community Sport - Coaching Workshop

The MWPA is offering the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Community Sport - Ongoing Participation workshop.

​

The NCCP is here to help you be the best coach that you can be. When you take an NCCP clinic, you’ll gain water polo technical abilities as well as leadership and decision-making skills. NCCP training will open doors to new opportunities in coaching and in life.

Whether you enter coaching as a high-level athlete, interested parent, teacher or recreational participant, by embracing formal coach training you will be embarking on an important first step to discovering optimal ways to develop your own unique coaching style: one that keeps athletes enjoying their sport, remaining committed to it, and growing as individuals.

Course Fee: $113

Minimum 14 years old (certification at 16 years old)

You must attend both days

You will need to create an account in the Locker at www.coach.ca to obtain a NCCP number in order to register.

To complete the training, you will also need to complete:

• NCCP Making Ethical Decisions

• NCCP Planning a Practice Module

• NCCP Teaching and Learning Module

To coach in Manitoba, you must also complete Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders and be screened under the Screening Policy.
