The MWPA has brought back its Provincial Team through the creation of a Provincial Development Program. It will support athletes and coaches to reach their full potential at the highest level of competition. The goal is to identify, train, and develop athletes who are motivated to compete as part of "Team Manitoba".

Meet our new Technical Lead, Team Canada Athlete Léo Hachem

Léo was first selected for Water Polo Canada's AGNT program in 2022 and has been part of the Senior Canadian Team since 2023. Most recently, he was in Malta for the World Cup.

He also played two seasons in Sydney, Australia with the UNSW West Magpies - winning the AWL Championships in 2025.

After attending the MWPA Summit in March and working with our athletes, he is excited to join the MWPA team as Technical Lead.
