Water Polo 4s will be the structure for the 2022 season. Each team shall consist of four players, one of whom shall be the goalkeeper.

MIDDLE SCHOOL WATER POLO
2022 STRUCTURE:
Water Polo 4s (also known as Beach Water Polo) will be the structure for the 2022 SCHOOL LEAGUE season. Each team shall consist of four players, one of whom shall be the goalkeeper. Rosters will not exceed 10 players.
Pivoting to Water Polo 4’s will be a fun and safe way to continue offering water polo this year and in the future. With this change, we will also introduce gender specific play. (Note: co-ed teams are allowed if a school is unable to field a gender specific team) Schools are encouraged to have both a male and a female team and may have multiple teams entered if the numbers allow.
LEAGUE OVERVIEW:

School league practices will commence September 19.

School league games will commence October 1/2.

School rosters will contain no more than 10 players per team. Schools can submit multiple teams.

Competition will be gender specific. (Co-ed teams are allowed if a school is unable to field a gender specific team

League fees will be confirmed after school teams are fully registered. Fees tentatively set at: $300 per team,

All athletes, coaches, and team managers must purchase a MWPA/WPC membership.

Athletes: Community membership - $30

2022 was a year of vast improvement for all of the school league athletes. Overall development of the athletes and coaches was very exciting to see from the beginning of the school league season to finals.
Congratulations to everyone on all of the hard work!!! Hope to see everyone returning in 2023.
