All 12U to 18U water polo players (athletes born in 2007-2014) of all abilities* are welcome to join us for a Skills and Drills Tournament on December 13 to 15, 2024.

With this innovative Tournament Format, registration is by individual not by team. Athletes attend our FridayNight Skills and Drills to be scored on a variety of different water polo specific drills:

-
Vertical Jump: Shows how high an athlete can "explode" out of the water
-
Radar Gun: Shows the speed of an athlete's shot
-
2 Buoy Drill: Shows how quickly an athlete can move over their hips without taking a stroke to cover ground
-
Obstacle Course: Shows the athletes ability to move over their hips and zig zagging with the ball
-
Medicine Ball Hold: Tests an athlete's leg strength
-
12.5 Metre Sprint: Shows how quickly can move over their hips and sprint

*all athletes need to be able to swim the required laps to enter the deep end at Pan Am Pool.

Athlete's scores are aggregated and teams are created so that each team has the same average score based on the individual players' scores will not be disclosed). Equal teams means competitive games for all.
Games are Beach Water Polo format (school league) of 4 on 4 (3+ Goalie). This format with small rosters allows for lots of touches for all players. Games are two 10 minute quarters run time (no stoppages).
Goalies will rotate through the teams in their division so every team always has an experienced goalie. (12U may rely on all players to play goal)
Coaches will rotate through teams so players get exposed to more coaching experience.
This is a great experience for athletes to get tested as individuals and get valuable game time!
All this for only $30 per athlete!
