Our most recent Athlete Spotlight featured Stanley Boudreau-Strome just after he got home from a Development Camp with Water Polo Canada in Barcelona. He then left for Dallas, Texas to play water polo in the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics from July 29 - August 1.
The Junior Olympics is the world's largest water polo tournament, from July 18 to August 2, 2026, divided into three sessions, two in Orange County, California, and one in Dallas, Texas. Thousands of youth compete across age groups ranging from 10-and-under to 18-and-under.
This was Stanley's second time participating as an international import, this time for the 18U Houston Viper Pigeons Blue.

His team finished 4th overall out of 24 teams with a 6-3 record, falling just short in the semi final to Team Orlando in a shootout, and to Orlando Thunder in the bronze game.
Stanley scored 3 goals in the tournament, including one in the quarter final game.
Alex Kovacs, another Team Manitoba athlete was also at the event, playing for 18U Daisy Water Polo Club from St. Louis, who finished 9th overall.
Great to see our Manitoba athletes in the international spotlight!
