All MWPA Members are invited to join us in celebrating our athletes and coaches who are competing in the Canadian Championships in a few weeks. Although individual athletes have attended (playing for other Provinces) this is the first time in over 10 years that Manitoba has sent any teams!

We will also be recognizing some amazing achievements from this past season.

The President of Water Polo Canada, Kathleen Dawson, will be in attendance to help us cheer on our athletes.

When: June 24, 2026

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Where: Assiniboine Park (site 4 - by volleyball courts)

FREE hot dogs, chips, drinks and more!

Bring your Loonies and Toonies for a Loonie Ball Fundraiser. Stick $1 to the water polo ball and $1 in the pot.... winner takes the ball and whatever is stuck to it!

We also have shirts available in support of the team for $22 (cash or e-transfer).

Please bring a chair, bug spray, sunscreen and wear clothes that can get wet.

Please RSVP so that we have enough food, and inform of any dietary restrictions by noon on Monday, June 22, 2026.

The Manitoba Water Polo Association acknowledges that the work we do takes place on the traditional lands and waterways of the Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline, and Nehethowuk peoples, as well as the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.

As a community, we remain committed to fostering positive and mutually beneficial relationships with Indigenous communities. We also recognize that the privileges and benefits we enjoy as citizens of Canada are rooted in long standing treaties and historical relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples. We are all treaty people and accept our responsibility to honour all relations.
