Our second annual Pride event on May 21 was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who attended. Thank you to Holly for Officiating, the Coaches for our program Meagan & Atlas, and to Jill for assisting with coaching when Meagan was out sick.
The MWPA is committed to providing a safe and affirming environment for the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Stay tuned for information about our fall programming.
Allies are also welcome to register - we need to ensure an environment where folks are free to be themselves without fear of judgment.
Join us at the Winnipeg Pride Parade on June 7!
Sport Manitoba has partnered with Out There Winnipeg (OTW) to join over 100 organizations who will be dancing through the streets of Winnipeg in the PRIDE parade. The MWPA will be joining this group to celebrate all of you and promote our 2SLGBTQ+ program. Out There Winnipeg also promotes our queer league on their website. OTW strives to enrich the lives of the Winnipeg 2SLGBTQ+ community by providing inclusive, accessible, safer sporting and recreational activities suitable for all skill levels.
